It was September 9, 2014 when 16 year old Charlotte Samuels crossed the English Channel in 20 hours and 44 minutes making her the youngest swimmer to complete the Triple Crown – English Channel, Catalina Channel, Manhattan Island.
Samuels completed her three swims in three months, swimming around Manhattan Island in June (nine hours, 54 minutes) and crossing Catalina Channel in August (20 hours, 20 minutes).
Then the problems started - biceps tendinitis, anterior chain mobility restrictions, no glute activation, poor kick. Fortunately, Meaghan Murphy, a Level 3 Medical Fascial Stretch Specialist enters the picture to offer a triple threat to poor performance: swim coach, therapist, personal trainer.
Watch & listen to Charlotte tell her story how she has gotten stronger, more powerful, balanced, faster & has changed her stroke to match the positive changes in her body. And FST was played a big part in this transformation.
[NOTE: apologies that split screen chopped off a bit of speakers faces but hey, the story is in the audio anyway, so enjoy!]
