Jadi Korban Pencabulan Guru Wanita, Seorang Siswa SMA Bunuh Diri karena Malu

TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Corbin Madison (18), seorang pelajar SMA Wells High School, Elko, Nevada, Amerika Serikat bunuh diri karena diduga depresi setelah menjadi korban pencabulan oleh gurunya.

Dikutip dari The Elko Daily Free Press, Corbin adalah satu dari empat murid yang dilecehkan oleh Tennille Whitaker (41), guru wanita yang mengajar mereka di sekolah.

Ayah Corbin, Terry, sekarang menuntut Chris McAnany, kepala sekolah Wells High School, karena diduga membiarkannya lolos dengan tindakan seksual tidak hanya dengan putranya tetapi juga siswa lain.

Gugatan itu mengklaim, Corbin bunuh diri karena depresi, penghinaan, dan rasa malu, yang dipicu setelah diangkat dan diekspos oleh Whitaker menurut The Elko Daily Free Press.

"Personel pengawas dan administrasi distrik sekolah, memiliki pengetahuan aktual tentang sejarah Whitaker tentang perawatan dan menyalahgunakan siswa di bawah umur, antara September 2015 dan Juni 2017," isi gugatan itu.

Whitaker melakukan hubungan seks dengan empat anak lelaki, yang semuanya anak di bawah umur di luar jam pelajaran.

"Dia memberi mereka hadiah, menyediakan setidaknya satu alkohol sebagai imbalan atas kepuasan seksual, baik di dalam maupun di luar sekolah, dan kadang-kadang mengantarkan mereka ke hotel," keterangan dalam gugatan tersebut.

Wanita 41 tahun tersebut divonis 20 tahun penjara atas tuduhan pelecehan seksual terhadap seorang karyawan sekolah dan seorang murid pada 20 Oktober 2018 lalu.
